Cmdr James Kraska was a faculty member of the U.S. War College at the time this lecture was taped. in 2012.. The lecture begins with a review of the major naval historical events of the U.S. Navy that involved use of force. The lecture is focused on the role of public international law relative to armed naval operations and the actual use of force in such operations. Use of force situations of course include war but also many actions other than war. This is an excellent introduction to maritime international law and highly recommended for those starting to study the subject of maritime international law.
