NEW TO OUR SITE? WONDER WHAT WE ARE ALL ABOUT? CLICK ON THIS LINK FOR AN ENTERTAINING VIDEO EXPLANATION http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFw32RRJY98:

NEWS FLASH: A Ghana court has upheld the seizure of Argentine flag ship LIBERTAD seized several days ago as Ghana enforced U.S. and British writs that allowed creditors of Argentina to "seize Argentine assets". Argentina has argued that even U.S. law precludes the seizure of war ships . OPINION: Frankly we agree with Argentina on this one national sovereignty is not for sale, not posted as bond, and certainly not subject to the whims of hedge Fund executives. The United States and Great Britain assumed in granting their writs that the normal rules of international law would be followed. Argentina has been subjected to a judicial mugging. Let us hope that the proper rule of law is upheld.
TODAY: Today we continue our examination of Senator McCain's inexplicable claim that the contribution s of the Jones Act Fleets and seamen are "laughable" by looking at a second source of funding for attacks on the Jones Act by foreign and some foreign, formerly domestic interests that stand to gain much at the expense of the American people if the Jones Act were to be repealed. We continue to wonder out loud why three legislators from non maritime constituencies would go to such trouble to attack something so heavily defended by the rest of Congress Again we suggest; follow the money. With our limited time, budget , and very limited news mandate we can only point out where the money is. From here the effort needs an investigative reporter. We also link you to a well written article in defense of the Jones Act by astute lawyer, just so you know that's it just this bunch of old pilots and engineers who made their livelihoods and eventually pensions in the Jones Act fleets who think its important to preserve American flag vessels and American seamen in the waterborne trade between and among the states.
The National Anthem is performed today by MS Faith Hill (backed by bagpipes)
