COLUMBUS DAY IS OVER BUT THE COLOMBIAN EXCHANGE CONTINUES

Yesterday we began a series of posts on the lessons from the European age of sea exploration and lessons that we might learn from that period in history which could help us avoid mistakes  as we continue to explore outer space, particularly with missions that bring back soil samples and land in the sea. We continue with another in the series of posts we call "Space as an Ocean", excerpts from the AAB sponsored book: PROTOCOLS, For The Reconnaissance Of The Universe.

This morning we will also tell you about a recent voyage of discovery by america's smallest and least known uniformed service in the high Arctic.

And sorry to report that we have temporarily suspended publication of the Sunday "Funnies" simply due to a shortage of funny videos that relate to the subjects in our "special pages" or sections. We will resume when the supply of such funny videos catches up with demand.

The National Anthem today is presented by the Obies;
