SPACE AS AN OCEAN. Excerpts from the Book PROTOCOLS.

We hope that you had an opportunity over the week end and yesterday to read our introduction to this series, and perhaps to at least view parts one and two of the video we linked you to "500 Nations". Yesterday we introduced you to the power of myth in ages of exploration. Today we look at the long boat , caravel, and the space shuttle and answer the question was the space shuttle just another long boat or was it the caravel of space exploration?  Stick with us through this series, the few paragraphs a day are easy to digest. Your reactions and comments will help determine if we will eventually publish the entire PROTOCOLS book.

NEWS FLASH: Chinese warships, including two destroyers, were spotted in waters near a Japanese island on Tuesday, the defence ministry in Tokyo said, further stoking tensions with Beijing over a disputed archipelago.
"A Japanese aircraft spotted seven Chinese naval ships in waters 49 kilometres (30 miles) south-southeast of Yonaguni island at 7:00 am (2200 GMT)," a ministry official said.
Yonaguni is an inhabited territory internationally acknowledged as Japanese

AAB NOTE: The good news is that the war ships are not in Japan's territorial waters and have not launched helicopters or performed any acts inconsistent with behaviors expected in the 'Contiguous zone where war ships do have a right of "innocent passage". The bad news is that Yonaguni is inhabited with a permanent population of Japanese nationals. Any move on Yonaguni would be the start of Asian Falklands with the U.S. obliagted to the defense of the Japanese.

UPDATE: It now appears that the Chinese war ships could be headed to the disputed Diaoyutai Islands. Japan has dispatched JMSDF (naval war ships) to shadow. This is a major escalation in tensions, potential war ship to warship confrontation. http://focustaiwan.tw/ShowNews/WebNews_Detail.aspx?Type=aALL&ID=201210160027
