About my generation: General Colin Powell once said:
"There were more of you at Da Nang`than at Woodstock."
Well, honestly we would have preferred Woodstock. Anyway we really should start the day with the National anthem. So from the generation that invented Rock and Roll here is an anthem you can rock to.                                                 :

ABOUT ADVERTISING ON THIS BLOG

You may notice that the advertisements in the upper right hand corner and at the bottom of the blog posts have disappeared. They won't be back. You may also notice some blue printed notices in these former add spaces on some browsers indicating that the "site is inoperative", this refers to the ad site not the blog. All of our contents are up and running, only the Google Ad Sense former spaces are "inoperative". We are working on that. We think this is a remnant of the former advertising programs trying to transmit to what is now a disabled space. Again, all blog content and features are working properly. We are starting an entirely new system of advertising in the near future that will address advertising clutter; how to avoid annoying our readers with it, and how to cut through it for our advertisers to get their message to the website visitor, as well as how to cut through the latest advertising blocking software. Our site and coming advertising system are especially suited for maritime lawyers, marine surveyors, naval architects, boat and marine equipment vendors as well as fishing equipment vendors and manufacturers. Watch this space for more information in the near future.

YOU ARE AT THE BLOG POSTS. Posts on a wide variety of maritime subjects are on a very long scroll with the most recent just below the daily station ID and Notice Board. You may scroll down through well over 1,000 postings or use the list of posts below the "Special Interest  Pages ". To jump straight to a particular date or title click on the list to your right below the "Special Interest pages"(INTRODUCTION AND SITE GUIDE, ADMIRALTY LAW, AUTHORITATIVE LITERATURE BOAT BUILDING,etc.) by date or title.  Watch this space for news on coming new features that reduce scrolling to find things. The "Special Interest Pages" contain book reviews, book recommendations and suggestions, videos free or linked for purchase, explanatory notes, links to other informative sites on the subject of interest, occasionally free E-books to read on line, and in some cases on line shops for related equipment.
