WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE SWIMMING DRAGON?

OUR ATTENTION MAY BE ON THE MEDITERRANEAN....

             BUT

 

THE DRAGON STILL SWIMS AND STILL ATTEMPTS TO DEVOUR THE TERRITORY OF ITS NEIGHBORS.

Our attention like the rest of the world is shifted from the China Seas where we just can't seem to get the world's media to pay enough attention to the land grabbing tactics of the Dragon to a Mediterranean region that seems about to explode. Libya now says it will "destroy" tankers that attempt to trade in its closed ports including by air. Well, aircraft weapons are usually more capable of a ship kill than what 20 meter boats are carrying. We wonder, did the naval forces blink at crossing the line into murder? Is the regime assuming that an air force will be less concerned. Obviously some professional military officers came over to the rebel side when Libya's dictator before last fell. Military professionals even in the Middle East and North Africa generally have some exposure to international law. What on earth is the regime thinking of? Libya is risking world censure and perhaps risking the loyalty of its remaining military professionals. 

 Meanwhile events relating to Syria are shaping up so fast that it is difficult to keep up. The American Sixth Fleet, and now forces from 35 allied nations may start ramping up soon. We have been hard pressed to get out some analysis on these fast breaking Mediterranean events. Our focus has changed temporarily, but reality has not changed. While the world is busy watching events unfold in the Mediterranean the Dragon still marauds the China Seas seeking the territory and resources of its neighbors. We continue to watch and we will report even if the Mediterranean becomes a hot shooting zone. Our naval establishment is engaged around the world, none of our protagonists, rivals, detractors, or out right enemies are on break while Syria and Libya unfold.

But the Dragon should never forget, we still read newspapers in Mandarin. We still know how to alert our readers and our readers are increasing rapidly. The truth will emerge.
