NAVAL INTEREST: STEALTH BOATS AND KAMIKAZE FISH

THERE HAVE BEEN A LOT OF STRANGE SIGHTINGS AROUND THE COLUMBIA RIVER IN RECENT YEARS OF LOW SLUNG HIGH TECH, HIGH SPEED BOATS.

Tyler Rogoway has posted a story at FOXTROT ALPHA about strange low free board high speed boats and some semi submersible craft periodically spotted along the Colombia River between Portland and Vancouver. To us the photos look a lot like Colombian drug smuggling craft with higher production values. Rogoway maintains that they belong to the U.S. Navy and are SEAL team insertion / extraction craft. One of  his photos certainly does show some khaki uniformed personnel along with some middle aged bureaucratic types with coats and ties removed. Since they are all standing on a surfaced craft a stone's throw from some nice water front housing we have to believe that whatever they were doing wasn't all that secret. Its not our story, we have no opinion if the mystery of the Colombia River "stealth boats" has been solved. Remember we find and link you to English language maritime information, we don't produce it. We give opinions on it when we believe we command the facts. We don't know much about this story or source but it is sure interesting so click here: FOXTROT ALPHA see and decide for your self.
