We're not working today. We're gathering with friends and family to give thanks to God for our so far still free country, wonderful visitors, and unique contributors including the giant catfish. While we're not actually working the entire blog is up and running including all of the sections like the NEWS SERVICE, ADMIRALTY LAW, FISHING, SAILING, SURFING, NAVAL INTEREST, MARITIME LITERATURE, etc. We don't do "Black Friday Sales" but you can still buy books on any page showing the book cover icons, Amazon never sleeps.

NAMAZU GIANT JAPANESE CATFISH DEMIGOD AND COASTAL ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYST

Namazu our coastal environmental analyst blew some minds in "NAMAZU FULLY LOADED PARTS I & II ". While few public comments were posted we received quite a few detailed E-mails and Namazu was addressed both positively and negatively in some other blogs around the nation. In a nut shell of gross over simplification, ( We suggest that everyone actually read parts I & II ,scroll down until you reach this week's Bulletin Board for direction on how to find Parts I & II) Namazu predicts a near term oil and gas driven economic boom that will drive a strong recovery. He predicts that the President who had nothing to do with the boom will receive enough credit from an uninformed public to be able to hand pick his successor in 2016. But Namazu warns society of coming technological revolutions that will present us with unprecedented social issues that if mishandled will ruin the prosperity that is en-route  Namazu takes due note that both parties and the entire political elite in Washington are in fact "dumber than a sack of hammers". However the catfish thinks the near future boom is too big for even the federal government to screw up.  But some critics claim that the giant catfish's oil and gas predictions are off the mark because at least one "tight" formation find seems to be being depleted four times faster than predicted. Occasional guest blogger Vic Socotra described both the rapid depletion critique of Namazu's predictions, and the response by Namazu in his own blog www.vicsocotra.com .  We will post that "Daily Socotra" posting with commentary probably tomorrow.

 Don't miss it, the catfish is ably defended, you can trust the catfish!  If you too want to develop the "Catfish Perspective"with  its depth of insight, breath of wisdom, humor, and far ranging vision, you probably don't have 3,000 years to develop it like Namazu did. Namazu suggest that in lieu of living 3,000 years and wandering the earth that you instead learn to "read like a catfish".
