IN THE NEWS TODAY:
Spanish Navy missile-carrying warship makes incursion in Gibralta waters
A Spanish Navy warship, whose armament includes harpoon missiles, yesterday afternoon made an incursion into British Gibraltar territorial waters. The Convent has notified London and the Madrid embassy, and a diplomatic protest is planned.
This incursion makes a mockery of the recent statement by the Spanish minister of defence who said the Spanish navy would not be drawn into the fishing issue as that was a matter for the Spanish interior ministry. Yet, we now have a Spanish warship invading British waters, and it is not the first time.
After a number of people had spotted the Spanish warship yesterday, The Convent issued a statement saying that they were aware of the "illegal incursion into BGTW by a Spanish Navy vessel."
The Convent statement added that "this was not innocent passage."

The National Anthem to day is presented with all of the words as written by Francis Scott Key. We have previously presented the mostly forgotten final stanza, but there is more. Click on the link below for the Star Spangled Banner as you have never heard it before. Everything else has been a pale shadow of the original. All words appear in print as well. We are going to run this version for a while and then repeat it often.
