Also yesterday we learned in scary specific detail what this next round of sequestration will cost the U.S. Navy in direct combat capabilities. Earlier last week we described what it would do to our "sea lift capacity". Among other things today, Sunday, we're running some classic maritime orientated video "funnies'. Namazu has checked in with some interesting thoughts on the source of troubles in the Sixth Fleets operating area. We also pause to wish luck to Taiwan and parts of mainland China battening down for typhoon, a drill we are all too familiar with. As always event though its the week end we have a watch staff monitoring the maritime world for you.
