Va jury considering death for Somali pirates

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- A federal jury in Virginia will take at least another day to decide whether to give three Somali pirates the death penalty.

EDITORIAL COMMENT: The Three Somalis in this case murdered Americans Jean and Scott Adams of Marina delRrey California and their guests aboard their yacht Bob Riggle and Phylis Macay of Seattle. In all the pirates have been convicted of 22 crimes that carry the death penalty.
