NOTICE:     BACK THE BOT THE DRIVE IS STILL ALIVE!

THE FUND RAISING  PROJECT FOR THE CORAL BOT-"SWARM ROBOTICS" FOR THE REPAIR OF DISTRESSED CORAL REEFS CONTINUES. HAVE YOU BACKED THE BOT?  http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/restoring-coral-reefs-with-robots  Please, all of you who pledged on Kick starter click on the link above and donate on Indiegogo. This time we have 52 days to raise less money than was actually raised on Kick Starter. The Bot still needs money beyond that, but setting the fund raising efforts in smaller increments makes it  more likely that the funds will actually be delivered . The present goal is for $30,000 which should be easily achievable, it is less than was actually pledged on Kick Starter. Indiegogo projects differ from KickStarter, all funds are delivered to the approved project whether the funding goal is met or not. But fund drives do come with deadlines . At the end of the 60 day period a project is allowed to run it must shut down so that others may draw attention. IF YOU CAN GET THE BOT TO THE GOAL IN UNDER 60 DAYS OTHERS GET ON FASTER AND THE BOT GETS BACK IN LINE FOR EXPOSURE QUICKER.

PUT THIS BOT TO WORK! http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/restoring-coral-reefs-with-robots

Ocean Bots: Learn about, and hopefully contribute to the development of these diving robots intended to help repair the world's damaged coral reefs . To learn more about the Coral Bot and its team of developers  or to contact them  click here:  http://www.coralbots.org/

SWARM ROBOTICS,   A  " HIVE MIND" BENT ON THE COMMON GOOD, CORAL REEFS.  These are all terrible things to waste.

WE STILL "BACK THE BOT" WE URGE YOU TO CONTRIBUTE AND WE'LL KEEP YOU POSTED ON PROGRESS RIGHT HERE.

TO CONTRIBUTE CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW:

NEWS OF NAMAZU THE EARTH SHAKER
NAMAZU, giant Japanese catfish former demigod, turned maritime analyst
Namazu is our senior maritime analyst and star commentator, many visitors check in just to see what the giant catfish has to say lately. When he has something new we post it in this space. Other wise his stuff is all over the blog postings, and an index to his posts is in the INDEX AND FINDING AIDS SECTION.. At the end of last Thursday's s second posting Namazu predicts the most probable year for the start of the China vs Japan, Philippines, and U.S. naval war over the islands of the China Seas. On Memorial Day  he retold the story of Sgt. Reckless the Marine corps horse, and non biped war heroine.

Today Namazu is hard at work doing the project he always dreamed of. We still can't afford that cube farm full of researchers dedicated to his self selected projects that he keeps asking for. But we gave him temporary command of every junior researcher available for his next project which will track the path from :minimal regulatory compliance to Operational excellence in ocean mineral exploration and production, with an insightful look at how present applicants for High Arctic drilling permits stack up on that long curve between "minimal regulatory compliance" and "Operational excellence"

SCROLL DOWN FROM HERE:  To read today's posts and keep scrolling to read older posts, or click on a date for posts in the right hand column. We will soon have a new feature, a parallel blog where among other things it will be easier to find certain blogs. Blogs that fit into series descriptions like our How Far Will The Dragon Swim? will be on a single scroll in date order from oldest on top to newest on the bottom or the reader can run the arrow to the bottom and start searching from the most recent to the oldest by scrolling up. This is not the only feature of the parallel blog which is going to help  reduce clutter in the primary blog space, but also revolutionize our INDEX and USER'S GUIDE, and provide easy to find deep background materials. The parallel blog just began construction today but you are welcome to visit: http://americanadmiraltybooks2.blogspot.com/

  1. Thanks so much for keeping coralbots alive on your site! Anyone with any questions can just get in touch with us at coralbots@mail.com - or of course just ask them right here.

  2. To those of you who have not visited the CoralBot site David Corne is one of the scientist involved in the project. So he is offering "from the horse's mouth" answers to your questions. For our part, and we are a bunch of pretty hard nosed and skeptical maritime professionals, we believe this system is worth development and will be a real game changer in environmental mitigation and remediation across many fronts beyond coral reef restoration.
